Press Releases

Cleveland, Ohio, Dec. 7, 2009 — Urbancode, Inc., the technical leader in build and deployment automation, today announced the company’s customer base has surpassed 400 customers. This milestone, part of the company’s strongest quarter to date, demonstrates the compelling benefits of Build and Deployment Automation — even in the face of the weak economy. Recently acquired customers include Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company, TracFone, the LDS Church, Macy’s, Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, and Lockheed Martin.

"Deployment automation is increasingly important for development teams who are struggling to get consistent deployments across environments," said Maciej Zawadzki, Urbancode President. "AnthillPro allows them to get a consistent deployment as they move their release through their various environments such as DEV, TEST, UAT, Staging and Production. The ability to avoid configuration errors and remove manual effort brings productivity benefits that are especially compelling for companies worried about the weak economy."

Urbancode’s recent growth was anchored by the release of AnthillPro 3.7 which extended the number of out-of-the-box integrations with tools across the software development lifecycle to more than 50. These integrations are used in automating the end-to-end process including building, deploying, testing and releasing. By aggregating data across the lifecycle AnthillPro gives customers unprecedented visibility and control, significantly easing the burden of audits in addition to improving day-to-day productivity.

"Many of our customers have experienced success with open source tools like Hudson and CruiseControl," said Greg Wunderle, Director of Sales for Urbancode. "They moved to AnthillPro because it provides a better solution for their complex projects, distributed teams, and deployment environments extending across the enterprise. With AnthillPro they are able to step-up to an enterprise-scalable solution in weeks, not years."
